Cleaning fresh fruit and vegetables

If you have been growing your own fruit and vegetables this year but have some extra bugs or garden spray on them, try this technique to get them ready to eat. You will find that insects don’t like white vinegar, making it easier to get rid of them from your produce.

Water

1 Cup DYC White Vinegar

1
Half fill sink with water the same temperature as the fruit or vegetables that you are trying to clean.
2
Add one cup of white vinegar.
3
Leave to soak for 10 minutes, turning over any fruit that is floating half way through.
4
Drain sink and rinse produce under flowing water. Pat produce dry thoroughly.
